Q: Why do I need to pay a deposit and why is the balance due 30 days prior to the wedding on Maui?
A: You need to pay the deposit because when we hire vendors we are making a commitment on your behalf. And there are deposits that have to be paid in order to hold some bookings. And, 90% of our time is spent working for you well before the event.
The remaining fees are paid on the day of the event. We need to be certain that the funds are in place before we can disburse them.
Q: Is my Hawaiian marriage certificate legal other places besides Hawaii?
A: Yes. It is recognized internationally.
Q: Can I get my marriage license at home before I go to Hawaii?
A: No, it must be issued in Hawaii in order to get a legal marriage certificate. Please read more on Hawaii Wedding License information here.
Q: Can my pastor from home perform the ceremony in Hawaii?
A: Yes but you need an officiant licensed in Hawaii for the legal documents. Many couples have their pastor perform the ceremony and have a Hawaiian licensed pastor for the paperwork.

Q: Can we write our own vows for our wedding on Maui?
A: Yes, of course. All of our officiants will be happy to allow you time during the ceremony to express your personal feelings to each other.
Q: What if we’re not very religious?
A: The officiants here on Maui usually have two standard wedding ceremonies, one religious ceremony and one non-religious ceremony that you can choose from. Both ceremonies have an optional Traditional Hawaii Wedding Greeting
Q: Do we need to have a rehearsal for our wedding on Maui?
A: It’s really not necessary. You will be surrounded by Maui wedding professionals who do this regularly and can guide you every step of the way.
